I used to look back and imagine all the things I gave up to become their mom. Now, I realize that they were my purpose and nothing I ever gave up would have been worth one day without them. Happy Mother’s Day — to me and to all the other mothers who know what it’s like to give so much of yourself yet yearn to give more… to all the mothers who aren’t just somewhere but who are there.
