Zoe just turned 3 in June, but she is the smartest, most clever little cookie I’ve ever seen! Tuesday morning, my mom was still sleeping and Zoe went downstairs to visit my stepdad in the media room. My stepdad told Zoe, “Your Mimi is still sleeping so you have to be very quiet.” Zoe agreed and sat down on the couch to watch TV while he used the computer.
With his back turned to her, he hadn’t realized she slid off the couch and was slowly and quietly inching her way over to my mom’s side of the bed. A few minutes later, my mom woke up and Zoe exclaimed, “Pawpaw, Mimi awake!”
Later that morning, my mom revealed why she had come out of her slumber. Apparently Zoe started whispering ever so softly in her ear, “Mimi. Miiiiimiiii… wake up. Wake up, Mimi. Mimi, you awake?” ;)
The moral of the story:
Be very clear when giving instructions to my toddler.
Zoe said she was told to be quiet because Mimi was asleep, but hadn’t been told not to wake Mimi up. So she woke her up verrrrrry quietly! haha
