As you know, last week I started a new Friday series called What I’m Loving in which I’ll give you a heads up on one product that made a difference in my world throughout that week. These are UNsponsored and completely at my own discretion. This week, I’m loving sanity saving strategies LOL! Yes, not a product, but a practice.

I think these days, pretty much everyone leads busy lives… it’s a common misconception that moms who work from home have it easy — as though we don’t really work. I beg to differ. I’ve never worked so hard in my life prior to the last 2.5 years! I find myself getting so worn out and cranky like a 2 year old who went to sleep late and hasn’t had a nap. I get irritable and I just want to be left alone… except I can’t be. I have children, clients, a husband, and a house that need me constantly — and everything that comes with each branch of all that territory.

Rather than have a nervous breakdown (which I just honestly don’t have time for) in the face of everything that isn’t going right, I have to regroup every now and then and remind myself how thankful I am for everything that ISN’T going wrong. No matter what I could be stressing about at the moment I am SO grateful that my babies are all healthy, well-fed, clothed, and sheltered; that my husband woke up safe and sound this morning despite being on an oil rig in the middle of the ocean; that there is love in my life in such abundance that it’s sometimes overwhelming… and that God saw fit to include ME in today!

That’s MY “whooooosaaaahhhh” moment.

How do YOU pull it together when you feel everything’s coming apart?
