I think every Friday for the duration of #NaBloPoMo, I’ll give you a heads up on one product that made a difference in my world throughout that week. These are UNsponsored and completely at my own discretion. Today I’m loving L’Oreal Professionnel Smooth Essence… it’s called a texture expert and is supposed to be for fine hair — to give it a bit of volume, shine, and control without weighing it down or gunking it up. Yes, today “gunking” is totally a word.
I definitely have anything but fine hair. Mine is very thick and full. My stylist calls my hair *great* as a matter of fact :) but she did recommend this product for me last time I was at the salon. Ok, so it was actually the first time I had ever been to this particular salon, but the first of many times and I’m scheduled for another appointment the day before Thanksgiving because I was super duper impressed with her skill as well as her knowledge of products and how they will interact with certain types of hair. When she recommended a product for fine hair to me, I initially thought she was nuts but I’m glad I listened and forked over the $18 because it’s a lifesaver… in respect to my hair anyway.
Not only can I use it but Briyana can also, which is a major plus considering the characteristics of our hair are so completely different. I’m one of those people who hates having to do pretty much anything with my hair. I don’t even like to have to brush while I blow dry. I honestly hate having to blow dry in the first place but if I don’t, it’s a whole other type of mess so I suffer through it. This product is literally weightless. Once my hair is dry, I can’t tell I have any product in it at all. But it makes flat ironing unnecessary, which is a super bonus… and it doesn’t make my hair dull and lifeless. So I get my same great hair without any effort. Well, ok… with hardly any effort.
After all, it doesn’t blow dry itself. ;)
