Our Weekend – Preparing for Barry to Leave Again :( #NaBloPoMo

Friday, Barry and I got up and took my Yukon to get the oil changed while we put some of the kids’ Christmas stuff on layaway at Walmart. It’s totally worth five bucks to have somewhere to store it all until December 16th LOL!! My kids are NOSY so having anything here at the house is a huge no-no. I won’t put what we got for any of the older kids on here because they happen upon my blog from time to time but I will share one of the gifts we selected for Zoe: an adorable pink and purple Mongoose Perch bike :) She’s going to LOVE it!

When we got finished at Walmart, he took me to see Tower Heist which was okay but overhyped… We had a great time though :) It’s been a while since we’ve been to a movie. We had fun kicking back eating overpriced nachos, popcorn, hotdogs, and Root Beer in the top level seating row where we couldn’t even see what we were eating so Barry kept fussing at me for activating the flashlight on my phone because he was paranoid we’d get kicked out for them thinking I was trying to bootleg the movie haha!

We spent Saturday relaxing and getting ourselves prepared for him to go back to work on Wednesday (a week earlier than he was scheduled). It’s always nice to have the extra income, but it’s bittersweet because he got 3 weeks at home and now we’ll work 5 weeks in the ocean. The upside is that there’s no way they’ll keep him over so he’ll be home a whole 10 days before Christmas and won’t have to go back offshore until January 12 so he’ll miss Thanksgiving, our 14th “together” anniversary, and his birthday but he’ll be home for Talia’s birthday, Christmas, and my birthday!

Sunday, we woke up and watched two church sermons on TV then got up and Barry and Tre spent the afternoon working on the Camaro while Talia, Zoe, and Ava played outside. Briyana and I took a trip to Walmart to put some more items on the layaway for the other kids and get her some ProActive. She’s becoming a woman if you get my drift so her hormones have been causing a few little breakouts that she’s wanting to do away with. She’s so beautiful. :( My baby is growing up. NOT FAIR lol
