Monday, I published an article about the awards ceremony at school for my 3rd grader and the two 5th graders. You can find that by clicking here. Today was the awards day for Talia’s grade (2nd).

Talia, like Bri, got five awards but she (so far) is the only one of the kids with ALL A HONOR ROLL!!!! All of my kids stay on Honor Roll, but the others are on A & B Honor Roll. I’m not sure about Avalyn just yet — her awards day is tomorrow during the Kingergarten graduation which I’m SO excited about :)

Talia brought home the following awards:

  • The Golden Apple Award (completion of the 2nd grade)
  • Academic Award in the field of Reading
  • Certificate of Honor for special recognition in the field of Mathematics
  • Honor Roll Certificate for All A’s for the entire year
  • President’s Education Gold Award signed by Barack Obama for Outstanding Academic Excellence

I’m SO proud of my babies, and sort of sad because my “babies” are growing up so fast. I’m thankful that they are growing up to be responsible, intelligent individuals who value their education as much as I do :) There isn’t much more I could even think to ask for!
