Get your mind out of the gutter. *hehe* Anyone who’s been to visit knows there is one thing I almost NEVER get behind on: laundry. {Shut up, Shynea.} I’ve been often accused of being anal about it, perhaps even a tad bit OCD. Well, I’m the exact opposite about my purse. Go figure… My design business tends to be seasonal. I open in spurts… sometimes I will go for weeks on end without accepting any jobs, then I will reopen and take on 8-9 jobs at once.
I started accepting design business on April 1st after about 7 weeks of refusing them, so I decided to share a little bit of what happens when I start to juggle my five kids and my niece who moved in with us the same day I reopened (cooking, cleaning, taking to school, picking up from school, tutoring/homework, rearing, nightly Bible study, hour-long life-lesson talks several times a week, and all the other things that go along with parenting), my clients, the house, errands, my photography business and maintaining my appointments, and of course my toddler who is going through all the wonderful personality “enhancements” of her terrible-twos stage.
I’ve said it once and I will say it again:
I credit all my successes to God,
my husband, my children
and 5-hour energy drinks ;)
I credit my failures to design projects, an average of 4 hours of sleep per night,
and my wonderful Fibromyalgia flare ups.
Now for my “dirty little secret” …
The contents of my purse:

The trash {and what’s sad is I don’t even eat M&M’s so how’d that get there?!}:

The keeps {Yes, I keep a blade and a tape measure in my purse. And, what?
… the lighters belong to hubby}:

The change:

The molehill of dirty clothes:

The mountain of clean clothes:

See what y’all do to me? ;) LOL This is my project for tonight — getting the clothes sorted, put on hangers, and into the closet of their rightful owners! Please tell me I’m not the only one whose clothes accumulate hidden away in their bedroom all week long until they take over! Today I woke up to the realization that my entire room was CLOTHES and I was forced to bring them all in the living room to the couch where I cannot leave them so I have no choice but to put them away *hehe*

Bahahaha that is awesome! Your kiddos dont do the laundry? God blessed me the day Sami decided she would do sort, fold and put away laundry for her allowance… it is the best $5 a week I could ever spend! LOL

They will do it, but I’m very particular about how it’s done LOL They never do it right so I stopped having them mess with it. I just do it myself; that way, I know it’s all put where it should be and that things that should be hung up aren’t stuffed in drawers and that the things in the drawers are folded, etc. I know it’s more work for me but it takes a lot more effort to redo it then to just do it myself to begin with LOL!!!
They do each have chores that they do daily though. The laundry just isn’t one of them anymore LOL!!!
Girl, I could almost SWEAR to you that you had a handle on my purse!! IT’s almost scary. I even had a baby sock in my purse! LOL!!! Thanks for sharing, scary and funny!
