I love chaise lounge chairs and have been trying to decide whether I want to look into getting one to give my oldest daughter’s room a modern twist when she has company or get a couple of outdoor chaise lounge chairs for the summer months when I’m enjoying soaking up the nice southern sun while watching the kids play basketball. I’m pretty torn on which would be better for us.

Briyana is getting older and has company quite regularly these days. She’s at that age where she wants to make a big impression on people… On one hand I like that she has her own personality and is comfortable reflecting her own style so I want to encourage that; on the other hand, I wonder if by obliging so many of her desires I’m enabling her to become one of those “gotta have it” drama queen divas that annoy me to no end LOL! And of course also in the other hand is the fact that those chairs are generally pricey and I won’t be doing both so I have to consider which will get more use considering I hate to sweat so there’s no guarantee I’d actually sit outside enough to justify having one there even though the outdoor chairs tend to hit the pocket a little lighter.
I just love the style and versatility that comes with the extensive designs available. If I were to get one for Briyana, it’s a piece of furniture that she could be proud to include as part of her own decor when the time comes for her to *gasp* be in a place of her own! Any advice?

Don’t you love getting advice from your favorite non-parent?? Hehe. I LOVE the chair in the picture. And I LOVE Chaise Lounges. I love the outdoor Chaise Lounges because they are SO comfy and perfect for *gasp* lounging, especially if you like to lay out or just want to kick back and relax. Does Bri have a certain style that she likes for her room? If you want to go an easy route, you could always just get some really cool floor pillows and make a nice sitting area with those. I’ve seen a lot of kids doing it that way, lately. When I was a kid, I didn’t really have a lot of company, but I had a futon that I LOVED and was a great place for guests to sleep should they stay the night. Plus, a nice futon is way cheaper than a nice Chaise Lounge. Well, that’s my opinion. And while you are at it, tell her to stop growing up.
