I spent most of today running around to several places in search of bed frames, mattresses, and other things to go in our new house. I stopped by Goodwill and found a full size bed frame only to find that it is not one that can stand alone; it requires a headboard and footboard which we don’t have for Briyana’s full size mattress. Oh, joy! lol So I returned that and am back at square one still needing a full size AND a twin size bed frame :( Darn! I think I found a twin size, but I have to drive to Ellisville to pick it up and haven’t had a chance to go that way. I did go to Purvis and picked up two twin mattress sets and took them to the house, so I at least accomplished something today.
Once we get settled in and get the furniture arranged, I’m going to be checking out some different styles of modern rugs to go in our living room. I’ve wanted an area rug for years but I’ve just never bought one. Silly, I know. This time, though, we’re going to be in a house with NO carpet (besides in the sunroom) so I think it’s time for a nice one to complement my decor :) I’m thrilled that we will finally be all moved in and getting settled Saturday. WHOO HOO! So, what style rug would you recommend? I’m sort of torn as I’m not really big on most patterns, but I’m thinking a large solid rug would seem boring unless I do something dramatic in the room to play it up, which would go against my anti-interior-decorator persona. LOL
