The last couple of weeks have been INSANE in my world. In addition to raising five children with my husband having been offshore for over seven weeks straight now, finding and moving into our new house almost all on my own (many thanks to my dad for helping me with the big stuff, and of course hubby’s best friend, Jarvis) I applied to be one of the next Mamavation Moms on December 23rd and just found out I am one of the 12 finalists!!! Two of us will be chosen to participate in a very public 7-week social media fitness boot camp which will consist of some seriously solid professional support. Alysa Bajenaru RD will be customizing nutritional plans; Tracey Mallett will orchestrate the fitness plan, Pete Cohen provides weekly coaching. The Mamavation Moms also get free fitness equipment/products from sponsors of the system — a treadmill from Sears Fitness, shoes from Earth Footwear, an EA SPORTS Active for Wii, weekly SUBWAYChefs Requested meals, a Gruve, & Top Trainers DVD set. Leah Segedie is the founder and organizer of Mamavation and its programs.

Mamavation holds a new campaign every quarter and chooses two moms to participate in each 7-week period. This time around, rather than having five finalists, there are actually TWELVE! That makes me a little more nervous since the odds of me being one of the next Mamavation Moms is now one in six rather than two in five. This is where YOU come in. Voting just started and ends in a week when Mamavation Moms are announced during the campaign’s Twitter party launch! PLEASE click here and vote for me and share the link with your friends, family, and network! I need as many votes as possible as quickly as possible… {If you cannot click the link, please copy and paste the following into your browser’s address bar: http://www.mamavation.com/2011/01/vote-for-mamavation-mom-2.html.}

Being nearly 50 pounds overweight and a chronic illness sufferer (Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), I would benefit greatly from becoming one of the next Mamavation Moms. Be sure to read up on why I feel I need this by clicking through to read this article: Mamavation: “Oh Wow,” is ALL I Can Say! I have done a fabulous job since the beginning of the year. I’ve had virtually nothing else to drink but water and have been extremely mindful of the types of foods — and the reasons — that I eat. I’m proud of my progress over the last 10 days and am looking forward to learning SO much life-changing information about not just dieting but actual nutrition and fitness through being one of the next Mamavation Moms, but I can’t do it without YOUR help, so be sure to click over and VOTE FOR @katjrobertson NOW!!!
