Lately, Zoe (who JUST turned 2 on June 27th) has been taking off her diaper when she “goes” in it. Even if it’s just a TEENY bit wet, she takes it off, throws it away, and comes to me with a new diaper gesturing that I should put it on her. Yesterday evening, I noticed her just walking around — naked. Here’s how our conversation went from that point:

  • Me: “Zoe where is your diaper?”
  • Zoe: *points*
  • Me: (picking up the seemingly dry diaper) “Come here and let me put your diaper back on.”
  • Zoe: *nose scrunch and BIG grin* “Naaaaassstyyy!”

I didn’t even know the kid KNEW how to say ‘nasty!’ I checked the diaper and gave it a closer “inspection” to find that she had, in fact, wet in it a little bit which was her grounds for refusal to put it back on LOL I got a fresh diaper and she happily laid down so I could put it on :)

Later on, as I was getting the kids ready for bed, Ava came in after multiple failed “can-I-get-some-juice” attempts and told me she needed some grape juice to get the water out of her mouth. Nice try, but no dice. lol A+ for creativity though!
