What would you do if you could have a free makeover?
I think all moms would agree that pregnancy and childbirth change our bodies in ways that we never thought possible! Once you’ve had five children like I have, you start to realize that it’s just never going to be the same. Your hips are different. Your stomach is different. Your breasts are different. Those once occasional bags under your eyes seem to become permanent! For some people, their feet get larger or their nose gets wider! I’m curious to know how many people out there would seriously consider cosmetic procedures such as liposuction, breast augmentation or reduction, or go as far as to get even plastic surgery (nose job, facelift, etc) done to get their pre-baby body back?
I’ve always been the one that was very adamant about the fact that I would never get any type of cosmetic surgery done, but I can’t say that I’ve never been curious about it, especially after putting on 30 or so pounds after my fifth baby and I won’t even mention the aftereffects of breastfeeding five kids. LOL
Is there anything you’d like to change about your body?
What types of procedures would you consider having done that you wouldn’t have prior to having children? Leave a comment and let’s discuss it!

Yes. If I had the money definitely. I am now 55 and a grandmother. One of my daughter’s has 2 children – 18 month and 3 yrs – she definitely would have lipo and other as she cannot get rid of extra pounds, and has stretch marks. Myself I didn’t have too many changes due to childbirth at the time – and had one twin pregnancy. Body returned to normal weight quickly. BUT as I have aged tummy area has gone to pot – and is issue where had pregnancy belly. So now I would have lipo and corrective surgery – as is very frustating.
I not only had babies to deal with, but also the disease, Cushings, which causes extreme weight gain and completely thrashes your body. I have considered getting some things done. Money is a major inhibiting factor, as well as it would put my health at risk, which is not really fair of me to my family. I have already had so many surgeries and it has been scary for them. Is it fair for me to subject myself to another for vanity reasons? just a few of the things i struggle with when thinking about this.
As I have gotten older (45 next month) my neck dropped. I have seriously HATED it. No matter my weight, I still didn’t have a defined chin. Therefore, a few months ago i did have a procedure called Smart Lipo on my neck. It is an office procedure where you are completely awake and it has little risk. I am so happy I did it. I now to completely shy away from cameras or have to throw away most of my pictures because of my huge neck. I am thrilled with the results and so happy i made that decision. I would consider some fillers or botox as age continues. Whether i would ever have a surgical face lift, i doubt it. i guess i wouldn’t know until it happened that i really needed it. I feel like my face was the only thing that wasn’t effected by cushing’s and i really am sensitive about it deteriorating.
Kat,
I have too thought aboout this too, I would not change a thing about me.
