The End of Your World?

I’ve been reading through a lot of my old blog posts tonight. Every now and then, I do this. I sit here and I reminisce through the good, bad, and the ugly that has been my life. It’s inspiring to me to see how far I’ve come. It’s refreshing to me to remember things the kids have said and done. It’s like a small revelation each time I go “back” in time… because remembering helps me realize who I am – or maybe even more so, it’s that not forgetting helps me realize how and why I became who I am.

I have very few password protected posts on my blog because for the most part, I’m an open book. I’m extremely transparent and I share probably more than I should… but, like everyone, there are those places and times in my life where I will likely never let anyone visit. Those posts remain under lock and key… they reveal raw emotion. They are the journals I write when I’ve not yet thought… when I’ve not yet allowed my feelings to be processed. They are my initial reactions – my therapy.

It’s amazing how something can shatter you so completely and disrupt your life with such force that you feel like you’ve lost control over everything… but only a couple of years later, you think back and can’t remember for the life of you what exactly it was that made you feel that way. Or maybe it’s just me… I read an entry that was so strong and deep; something had affected me so badly that I simply wanted to give up on everything, but try as I may I can’t even come up with an idea of what it might have been.

This revelation gives me hope because I guess it goes to show that no matter what it is, time heals all wounds and things will end up balancing themselves out in the end.

LESSON OF THE DAY:

Keep pressing. Nothing’s ever really as bad as it seems.

Until next time...
