If you’re new to my meal plan series, here’s a quick recap of the steps involved in developing my menu for the week:

1- Poll the family for ideas – find out what foods they would like to eat each day of the week, then incorporate their tastes into the menu! Plan out breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner for each day of the week.
2- Create a detailed list of all the ingredients I will need to make each meal, then compile that into a clean grocery list, ensuring that I purchase enough of shared ingredients to prepare each meal.
3- Cross off the grocery list all the ingredients I already have in my cupboards and refrigerator so that I do not purchase goods I already have available.

My weekly food budget for our family of 7 is currently $150. I’m still running low on coupons so you won’t see them factored into my budget this week. I am DEFINITELY planning to start back stocking up on coupons beginning next week.

mpmhappyBe sure to download and print this week’s meal plan (3/1/10-3/7/10) complete with daily menu plan (including snacks) and the shopping list for this week! Some of what you see will end up in a recipe post, so you’ll get some recipes out of the deal as well! :) Just keep checking back! If you decide to try any of the meal ideas you find in my meal plan, be sure to comment and let me know how you and your family enjoyed it!
