Most of you know how much my grandparents meant to me, especially my grandfather. I LOVED my Nana… I’m definitely not taking away from how much she meant to me, but my Pappaw {or Pawpaw… we never did really decide on which spelling we’d use… LOL Heck, some grandkids just write Papa} was the only father I ever really knew. He was my hero. I had a mom… a WONDERFUL mom… so my grandmother {Nana} was my grandmother and she meant to me what every grandmother means to every grandchild. I loved her dearly. However, Pappaw was so much more than just my granddaddy. He filled voids that no one else could… when he passed, it crushed me in ways I could never explain.

Last night, my little cousin posted some videos from my aunt’s camcorder on her Facebook page. She tagged me in them {I was 10 at the time} so I went to check them out. I was caught off guard as the first face I saw was my precious Pappaw… hearing his voice ripped through my heart and I cried as I watched them over and over again. I miss him so much. He was the most amazing man EVER. Here are the videos… I’m sure you can guess who my grandparents are :) My aunt is the red head in the purple sweatshirt; her husband is the one holding the baby in the living room. My former step dread … oops I mean dad … was the one with the brown hairpiece *hehe* and the little girls are my cousins. My mom is the one in the white shirt that buttons up to the neck sitting by Pappaw when we were eating, and of course… I’m the sandy blonde kid. Notice the accent? LOL
