Yesterday we celebrated the birthday of our oldest daughter, Briyana. She was born on February 6, 2000 but we planned her party closer to Valentine’s Day because it carried that theme. This morning, my husband got home from work and said, “I almost brought you something for Valentine’s Day but I figured y’all had enough junk yesterday.” We aren’t big on gifts and such, so we laughed and I didn’t think anything else about it. That is, until he walked through the door later in the evening with several big gift bags full of goodies for all the ladies.

His reason is what touched me the most… He said he wants his girls to grow up expecting thoughtfulness on holidays like today because when they get older, any man that wants to date them is going to have some big shoes to fill as they compare him to their daddy. That was awesome :) Exactly why I love this man!!! Here are a few photos of all of us… you’ll just have to excuse Zoe. I cannot keep clothes on this child LOL
