Last Monday (the 9th) I started a 30-day get-fit challenge using BreakPal‘s exercise program. I will admit, I had a cuh-rappy first week. I was super busy and I neglected my exercise time horribly. One thing I love about BreakPal is that it was created by two very down to earth, encouraging, motivating individuals and not only do they provide the program, but they provide the network to keep you going. The BreakPal website has tons of features – a point system, blogs, status updates, a forum – and all of those things help to keep you going with the program.
Phil and Liz Weaver are AWESOMENESS wrapped in SUPER and dipped in a little bit of YAY! The Weavers concocted this whole program {Liz is the extremely pretty lady you’ll be doing the videos with and the voice of the Yahoo! widget that will drive you crazy motivate you oh-so-well as she pops up ever so often to say, “It’s time to work out! Are you ready?” Oh, and you BETTER be ready because some of these workouts can get PRETTY intense. There are a ton of videos ranging from beginner to advanced with everything you can imagine from basic cardio to yoga and even some kickboxing type stuff thrown in there. Don’t quote me on the kickboxing – it’s called something else fancy, but I can never remember what it really is. I just know it burns. :)
I’m recommitting myself this week as I now have only 22 days left and I’ve – yet again – gotten nowhere in my self-challenge. However, you gotta love Phil Weaver. I made the mistake had the wonderful idea of blogging on the BreakPal website about my challenge and when Phil noticed I hadn’t been on the site, he very annoyingly kindly sent me a private message informing me that I am a lazy bum hadn’t been on the BreakPal website in 3 days. His motivation sucks rocks! :) LOL {Can you tell I’m a little torn? hehe} No, seriously… I’m poking fun. They are great… and the program is awesome.
Don’t take my word for it! Visit the BreakPal website and find out more about the specifics of the program… then sign up and try it out for yourself! I would love company in my challenge – just comment on any of my updates and let me know how you’re doing. Keep checking back as I update on my progress and experience with the program. I don’t have a *long* way to go per se, but would love to tighten up, shed some belly, and regain some of the energy that five children and a pretty sedentary lifestyle have drained me of :) Here’s to fitness!!!
BreakPal is on Twitter {Phil and Liz} and Facebook!
