CONGRATS to the winner of the BreakPal giveaway: Commenter #8 {DEE@CWM}

breakpal-winnerPhil and Liz Weaver run a martial arts school (www.shengchikungfu.com), so realizing that many people today spend their lives glued to their desk chairs, they created a great solution: a way to maintain an active lifestyle while sitting at your desk! Using kung fu motion, aerobics, and some computer programming they designed BreakPal which runs in the background and pops up at set intervals to present you with a fantastic workout that is easy on the joints and back which can be done in the space of most cubicles. Here’s to workplace wellness and workplace wellness programs :)

My Experience with BreakPal

BPI have been using BreakPal {off and on} for about 3 months. While, unfortunately, I have not been as consistent as I should be, I am definitely trying to be more committed to the routine because I know that if I were to stick to it, I would definitely see results. BreakPal offers so much more than just the countless instructional videos and the amazing downloadable reminder widget. They offer support and an entire community which allows you to communicate with others about your experiences – successes, setbacks, frustrations, excitements, etc and get commentary from other members – and it doesn’t even stop there.

Phil and Liz are completely hands-on when it comes to their members… Phil knows how much I WANT to stick to this program, so when he realizes I haven’t logged in for a few days, he checks in on me. I love that! I’m one of those people who really needs someone to hold me accountable to my word when it comes to committing to my own fitness. I know, I know… I should be more serious about my own health, but with so much else going on in my world on a daily basis, I need that little push to remind me that I NEEEEEED to be keeping active!

Hop over to their website and let Liz personally tell you all about why they started BreakPal, what their program entails, and how they hope to help YOU reach your fitness goals by giving you a great option that is workable for ANY schedule!

    Ok, I was actually watching the vlog and then saw this giveaway, and gave it a look-see. So while I don’t “need” to sit at the computer all day, I mostly do. And I’m always vowing to go running (or something like it) and never do – so this would be pretty perfect! I like that it’s something I can sit at the computer and do (even though that sounds incredibly lazy) nut I also like that I could pass this along to my husband who actually does sit at a computer for most of the day. This would help me with some weight loss slash keep it off esp. since Xmas is coming up and help him with his back, which kills him during the day. Love it!

    Ok, I love this one! How Brilliant!

    Being that I work from home and sit at the computer mostly ALL day this would be great for me. I just recently cancelled my gym membership and have not been motivated to exercise at all. I need to get back into a routine and need a boost to get me back into motion. This would be perfect.

    I like that you can set the program at intervals to pop up on the computer to remind you to get moving. I also like the variety of exercises to keep you interested. I’m really liking the idea of this.
