I ran across a blog today with the tagline, “If life were perfect, there would be no reason to blog.” Catchy… but essentially, untrue. Being that blogging has such an innate importance in my life, I’ve actually often wondered if the Heavenly afterlife (eternity) includes internet access. I honestly can’t imagine a Heaven wherein I would be unable to blog. Call me silly, but eh, that’s just me. :) Since Heaven IS going to consist of a life of never-ending perfection, I began thinking… in that scenario, WOULD there really be no reason to blog? Hmmm…
But, I disagree. To accept that tagline as being true is to declare that the only reason we blog is to express and/or process negativity and if that is the case, that in and of itself is unfortunate. But again, untrue. A life of perfection and abundance won’t likely find excitement in giveaways and shocking media frenzies (since there won’t be any) or require inspiration and encouragement, but that’s okay :) because the basic need that my blog fulfills for me is not to dish about the latest gossip, give my opinion on the outrageous news, or even provide someone with a pick-me-up… in it’s most raw form, my need is to share. To share my experiences and share my emotions… to share my life. If life were perfect, there would still be experiences and emotions – so is the consensus that joy and happiness and peace and love are boring? There would be no reason to blog about LIFE because its perfection would create a sense of monotony? NO! A life of perfection would still present a reason to blog: sharing. :)
Sharing experiences.
Sharing emotions.
Sharing life :) in all of its glorious perfection.
The reason I’m putting so much thought and time into this simple tagline is because it concerns me to realize that there are people who believe there is no reason to share without conflict, drama, disappointments, and wrongs. Why do we feel this way? Positivity and freedom and laughter and fulfillment are great reasons to blog! And hey, why wait for a life of perfection to blog with that perspective?
Share your joy now :) Don’t just blog when you find a heart wrenching article or when your nerves are so shocked, you’re shaking as you type… Don’t just blog when you want to lift someone’s spirits because you know there are SO many people down in the dumps… Don’t allow the fact that something somewhere is WRONG to be your only motivation for blogging. Blog even when there is a hint of perfection in the air. Blog even though there isn’t an appalling news story. Blog just to share… a moment of awesome; a moment of amazing; a moment that isn’t made any more precious by the fact that evils exist or heartaches will come… :)
Blog as though life is perfect once in a while!

Are you serious??? I so love reading your inspirational blogs. You are honest, open and down-to-earth, which is one of the biggest reasons I followed you once I found you. LOL You tell it like it is, be it good or bad and do not care what anyone thinks. For that I give you props! Only GOD can judge us. I wish I did it and could make a habit out of it. How emotionally and spiritually soothing!! Every one knows that writing down your thoughts, dreams and aspirations and/or journaling/blogging whatever you want to call it is one of the best things you can do for your mental health. Not to mention years from now you can look back at it and reminisce.
Because believe me the older you get the more you do forget. I’m speaking from experience. LOL
I haven’t forgot about you Kat. Hopefully next week I am going to have you hook me up so I can start blogging! :) until then… keep blogging so I can keep reading!!!
Talk to you soon!! Julie
