This is the first time I’ve ever actually made a wrap, but they were DELICIOUS.

I used all the ingredients I would use to make a turkey club sandwich (using DSCF3535shredded cheese instead of sliced and nixing the tomatoes because no one wanted them but me LOL) and wrapped them up in a flour tortilla, then cut it in half.

What you will need:

  1. Flour tortillas
    (10″ – adults / 6″ – kids)
  2. Ranch dressing
  3. Shredded cheese
  4. Bacon (I use turkey bacon)
  5. Sliced deli turkey
  6. Shredded cheese
  7. Tomatoes

DSCF3530My kids all have very different eating habits

… so each of the wraps were made with different things; Bri doesn’t like cheese, Tre doesn’t like lettuce, Talia doesn’t like ranch, and Ava is the one that always wants ONLY meat and cheese LOL

If I would have wanted to slice up a tomato for just ONE wrap, I would have added some to mine, but I didn’t want to be wasteful.

PREPARATION … {This meal only takes about 15 minutes to whip – I mean wrap – up}:

  • Start by cooking the bacon and placing it on a paper towel or napkin to absorb the grease.
  • You will need to warm the tortillas so they aren’t “stiff” … warming them makes them much less likely to break when you roll the wrap. You can do that one of two ways:
    • Microwave: stack them all up on a plate together, stick them in and turn it on for about 45 seconds, flipping the stack over about midway through
    • Stovetop: Use a light coat of cooking spray and put each tortilla in a skillet over medium heat for about 15 seconds or so on each side… don’t overdo it. Just leavDSCF3536e it in enough to warm it – you don’t want to “brown” it or you may end up making it MORE apt to break because it will become hard as it cools if you’re not careful. I prefer the microwave - it’s quicker and they always come out softer than on the stovetop.

Once you’re finished with those two steps, you’re ready to move on!

  • Place one tortilla on a plate and on top, place the turkey in a layer covering the tortilla. If using a 6″ tortilla, you’ll need 3 slices. If using a 10″, you’ll need 5. I use VERY thin deli turkey.
  • On top, in the center, place a strip of bacon then on one side of the bacon, lay down a flat later of lettuce then top it with cheese. Pour one thin line of ranch dressing over the bacon then roll the wrap starting from the side that has only the lettuce and cheese and go toward the side with only the turkey. *I tried it the other way first and all my stuffing fell out, as you can see in the photo below!* When you roll it the correct way, the wrap stays together much easier and doesn’t open up.

That’s it! If you DO end up using tomato, lay it in thin strips over the bacon in the center. You won’t need much because you’re going to have some in every bite if it’s on the bacon! I hope you enjoy it … if you try it out, leave me a comment and let me know how your family liked it!
