DSCF3515When I told my husband we were having taco pizza, he didn’t look too thrilled. I’ve never made one before and he’s never eaten one before, so it was going to be an experience LOL Not to mention, we were already hungry and if this turned out to be a bust, we’d have to start over with something else.

But, we sucked it up and decided to go for it anyway, and MAN I’m glad we did. This was a great lunch-meal… we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Since there were 3 pizza crusts in the pack, we went ahead and made a third one to split between the kids for their after-school snack and they loved it as well!

INGREDIENTS:

  1. Pizza crusts (I got a 3-pack of personal size)
  2. Ground beef (about a pound for 3 personal pizzas)
  3. Mild taco seasoning
  4. Sour cream
  5. Shredded cheese
  6. Tomatoes
  7. Cooking spray
  8. Picante sauce

PREPARATION:

  • Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the pizza crust package.
  • Brown the meat and drain the fat.
  • Add the seasoning mix, following the instructions on the packet.
  • Lightly coat each pizza crust with cooking spray.
  • Spoon the ground beef mixture onto the pizza crusts.
  • Heat the crusts as directed.
  • Remove the pizza crusts from the oven and spread a layer of picante sauce and a layer of sour cream over the ground beef.
  • Top the pizza with tomatoes and shredded cheese.
  • Slice the pizza with a cutter and EAT UP! :)

This meal takes approximately 15 minutes from start to finish depending on the type of crusts you get and how long they require in the oven. It is delicious and filling – and even though this was my first time preparing one, it turned out great and was very simple to create!

This looks absolutely delicious. It makes me want to go and make taco pizza tomorrow for dinner. Which I think I will do. Thank you for the recipe. My sons are going to love you. (While my hips are already getting angry.)
