It’s been about 4 months since I last did an update and I figured it’s about that time again!
Me: I am sooooooo beyond overloaded these days. Not overWHELMED {yet}… just completely overloaded. I’ve got more projects than I know what to do with, but I am prioritizing and knocking them out as best as I can. I’ve got web projects, home projects, kid projects, ministry projects, book projects, blog projects… and oh my STARS – where did all the hours go?? I’m often up project-ing until the wee hours of the morning and then up and at ‘em the next day all over again. I have so many ambitions – so many goals, dreams… I want to accomplish so much and it just seems like I’m getting no closer each day than I was the day before. But, I’ve never been more sincere in my claims to thoroughly enjoy my chaotic life. If things slowed down, my brain would begin to rot. I just have to have a thousand things going on at once or I feel like a total slacker! So, right now, I am of course still working on websites – need one? I’m your man… well er, um… girl. Whatever. I’m also still working on finishing my BOOK!!! I’m very excited about it. It’s gonna be HUGE! You can read more about that here. I’m {thinking about} trying to lose weight. You can read more about that here and here. Yes, I did say THINKING ABOUT. I’ve walked a couple of times… I’ve been eating {a little} better. And, hey – thoughts are powerful things. They lead to action. Eventually… Anyway, I finally got back in the choir! I’m loving it… I’ve already lead one song {the soprano in a trio} and sang a solo in the last couple of weeks.
Barry: My hubby = awesomeness[squared]! He’s got so many endeavors up his sleeve… several things he’s trying to work out to start his own business; yet, he still manages to help me be the work-at-home mom that I PRAYED to become! I work between 3-11pm and Barry takes the kids out for a couple of hours around town, cooks dinner many nights so I don’t have to take a break, and doesn’t complain {too much} about me staying up until 4am {and sleeping until mid morning or later} writing my book or working on websites. I know, I know… a lot of people may be saying he’s *supposed* to do those things. But you know what, I know plenty of men who don’t… so I give mine props for being who he is, and for often taking up a lot of slack around here! Anyway, he isn’t all that fond about me being specific on my blog as to what he’s working on or what he’s experiencing, so I don’t… I will only say that he is one of the most driven, determined, and dedicated men I’ve ever known – and those characteristics alone are going to take him FAR! {It helps that he’s also persuasive, intelligent, and EDUCATED!} So, anyway, that’s that. :)
Briyana – 9 years old: Briyana is one of THE most beautiful young ladies ever. She’s also extremely smart, talented, and goofy as the day is long. She loves, loves, LOVES to cook. Quirky/fun fact about Bri: she will make ANYTHING in the kitchen, but absolutely HATES to put mayonaise on anything. Seriously. The child will bribe Talia or Tre into putting the mayo on hot dogs or sandwiches. Odd, much? haha She’s very sensitive and likes to feel needed and important. She loves teaching people things and is definitely a little prankster. She can be a little insecure at times and seems self conscious to a certain extent… she’s ALWAYS saying how she wishes she had long, thick hair like Talia. {She’ll grow out of wishing that when she realizes how hard it’s going to be for Talia to MANAGE all that hair!} All in all, Briyana is a great kid. She’s a busy body… typical cheerleader type girly girl LOL
Tre – 7 years old: Tre is, and always has been ALL BOY! I think I have started every update post about him with that sentence since I began blogging years ago. He is a powerhouse of never-ending energy. He speaks SO much more clearly now than he used to and is by far the most playful of all our children. He’s always wanting to trick somebody or pick on somebody (in a fun way). He’s also by far THINKS the most of all the kids. He will ponder a certain point until he has literally conceptualized every aspect of the issue. Then, he will come give you a complete dissertation of what he’s concluded concerning the topic. He LOVES reading his Bible {and has read the entire thing several times – the beginner Bible, in story format} and constantly explains to us how God accomplished certain things. It’s SUPER cute to listen to him get so excited over God’s powerful works! He is going to start playing football this year. He homeschooled last year, but will be going back to public school with the girls this year. He wants to play running back and quarterback. {Sorry, pops… no defensive MVP here!} He’s SO active… pretty much the only thing that slows him down is his video game. He could sit there for 3 days straight and never even eat or bathe – it wouldn’t bother him one bit.
Talia – 6 years old: Ohhhhh, Tia… she is the recurring winner of the “most hardheaded Robertson child” award. She’s such a clone of me, it’s scary. {Seriously – it’s SCARY.} She is the “deepest” one of my babies. She is also the one that you never have ANY idea what’s going to come out of her mouth. LOL She’s a tough kid, just like I was… but she wears her heart on her sleeve, just like I did. She has a beautiful voice – she and Briyana both have got SUCH amazing voices. I can’t wait until they get older. Actually, all of the kids sing. Tre even loves to sing. Oh, but this one is about Talia. So, back to her – as sweet as she can be, she can be just that obnoxious as well! LOL It’s like she does things specifically to get on your nerves to find out exactly how far you can be pushed before your head explodes. Well, at least SHE enjoys it haha She’s a tomboy, but has a girly side also. She’s the most practical out of all the kids. If it doesn’t make sense, she’s not really feeling it. LOL
Avalyn – 3 years old: Ava starts Pre-K this year (next month) which means ALLLLL my kids will be in school every day except Zoe! {doing the booty dance} YES! I am so excited. Butttt this isn’t about me, so let me say AVA is super excited LOL She is an amazing little kid… and ANNOYING at times, but mostly amazing haha She whines – a LOT. But she’ll grow out of that. She’s hilarious – I have some reaaaalllyyyy funny videos of her on YouTube. She speaks so matter-of-factly and her demeanor and facial expressions just make you want to DIE laughing, no matter what she’s talking about. She’s a bossy little somebody! Even the older kids can’t get over on Ava – she holds her ground FIRMLY and will let anybody know they better not mess with her! She’s going to be something serious when she gets older… She’s SO smart and man.i.pul.ative! {Hopefully the manipulative part will develop into more of a leadership quality!}
Zoe – 1 year old: Zoe just turned 1 on the 27th of last month. MANNNNN how time flies! I was so depressed thinking about it (you can read about that here) but she had a fun birthday party which you can read about (and see pics) here. She is learning new things by the day and has such a jokester little personality! She does this little smirk-grin that says, “I’m planning on doing something SUPER mischievous and YOU can’t stop me!” She loves when we play with her – she does this thing with her feet when we try to put her down … she pulls them up and crosses them in protest! She has been walking since she was barely 10 months old and loves to climb on EVERYTHING. Seriously, I always joke that I think she is not only biracial but also bispecies-al (meaning not only is she black and white, but also human and MONKEY!) Climbing is her thing… She’s also bow-legged so watching her walk is PRECIOUS haha … She will grow out of it though; all the kids were bow-legged, believe it or not. Zoe doesn’t talk much, but can say Dada (her first word, of course – psh!), Mama, Nini (the breastfeeding moms should all know what that is! LOL), and when you ask her where someone is, she will point at them with her index finger and smile :) She also knows the names of most things and when you ask for her something, she will pick it up and bring it to you with such a look of accomplishment on her face!
Well, that’s it :) I hope you enjoyed it… I love doing updates. It makes me really think about each member of my family individually and reflect on their uniqueness… They are awesome. I love my family!!!!

Ah, yes. The craziness of life. I’ve got four children, work full time, and run my blog, all while coddling the husband.
Your post reminds me that it’s time to write in my childrens’ journals again. I keep one for each of them to share my personal reflections on them (my “I love you’s”), record what they were experiencing at the time, and to offer scripture throughout. All of this as a way to record their life and to continue speaking to them once I’ve gone on home. (sigh) They will each receive their journals as a gift from me when their older. :~D
