Purex 3-in-1 Washer/Dryer Sheets

Okay, so by now I’m sure everyone knows how crazy I am about #-in-1′s :) Anything that allows me to combine two or more steps into ONE easy step is my type of product! Purex has outdone themselves with this one… I must admit, when I first saw this innovative laundry DREAM being reviewed by Renee @ CutieBootyCakes.com I was a littttttle bit skeptical. I mean, come on – one sheet that can wash, soften, and provide anti-static properties all at the same time? Psh. Yeah, okay. BUT, I saw the sheets at Walmart last night and decided to give them a try. They are not quite 6 bucks for 20 sheets, which wasn’t too bad IF they do what they say they will do because to purchase enough laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and fabric softener for 20 loads of dirty clothes… well, I think 6 bucks is coming out on the light end actually; especially if I can cut out the spilling, measuring, and headache that comes along with having to use three separate products for EVERY load I wash {note: there are SEVEN of us – 2 adults and 5 kids – so this makes a HUGE difference for me!}

The first thing I noticed was the smell – I bought the Tropical Escape scent which was HEAVENLY… not overpowering, but definitely pleasant. You use the sheets just like any other detergent. For top-loading washers (like mine) you start the water and drop one in. It provided a good bit of suds and even went further than Gain liquid or the Purex powder. My water and clothes filled the washer and the suds were still evident. I don’t know if that matters to anyone else, but I was impressed. I love the dispenser – it clicks shut to house the sheets and is surprisingly solid and durable… an admittedly better option than my previous powder detergent which ALWAYS ended up getting knocked over and consequently bathing my swiffer sweeper + vac in a snowy shower of gritty Purex love.

After the clothes washed, I followed the instructions and threw the clothes, along with the Purex 3-in-1 sheet into the dryer and turned it on. When the clothes were dry, they smelled fresh… they felt soft… and guess what? NO static cling. The ultimate test has been passed… I don’t know about you all, but Purex 3-in-1 Washer/Dryer sheets is now a necessary staple in my house!
