Despite all the reasons we have to trust God, it takes very little to produce doubt in our spirits. Why is it that we find it so difficult to believe in what God has for us? We question His love for us, His provision in our lives, and the purpose that He promised we have. We carry on as though there is nothing more than what meets the eye when clearly if we are not happy, then the life we are living is not the one we were created for. We adopt the mindset that there is something we are missing out on or something we are doing wrong if things don’t feel right. The truth is, without God in your life, the peace, joy, happiness, and love that you find will be at best incomplete and typically temporary.
If you are living a life in which you wonder why things seem so tough, why you can’t find a consistent peace, or why the joy others have doesn’t seem to find its way to you… if you are always asking yourself why you can’t catch a break or why day after day, year after year it’s the same story with a new twist, the answer is that the life you’ve fallen into and chosen to accept is not the life you were purposed for – there IS more that God has for you. However, He has never been one to force Himself on us! It is up to you to seek out and take hold of the purpose He assigned for you. There is a reason you are here!
We get so caught up in the worldly aspects of life that we begin to allow negative feelings to surround our existence when we realize that we don’t have the things other people have, don’t fit in where others fit in, don’t look the way others look, can’t do what others can do… without allowing the realization to sink in that ALL we need is to seek guidance from the Holy Spirit in order to find the peace and joy intended for us – and the Love that first comes from God Himself – and the fullness that is provided solely by being in our blessed place.
No one can make you feel a love that isn’t already inside of you. GOD is love; without allowing Him to play an integral role in our lives, the best we can do is find substitutes… which in the long run only cause us more pain, disappointment, and/or hardship than before. We find ourselves searching for acceptance and fullness in others in order to make us feel complete; no one can fill the hole that is God’s place in our lives – no one can replace His role there! Until you embrace Him and accept Him in your heart, you will forever be in search of something you will never truly find.
He’s waiting for you… all you have to do is reach out. No matter what you’ve done, who you are, or what turns your life has taken, you are loved purely and without agenda. You are loved as the precious and unique child as which you were created. You are loved wholly, unconditionally, and unfailingly.
