It’s been a while since I actually did an update on us, so here goes:
- Avalyn: I know her birth certificate suggests that she just turned 2 on 9/11, but this little girl is going on 5 years old, I promise! She is something else… my little mama is sick right now :( She’s been running a little fever, coughing, sleeping a lot… poor thing! She’s so smart and SO sweet. (and bossy, and moody, among other things HAHA!)
- Talia: is the same ole Talia – I don’t think any of my kids will ever change much; their personalities are solid! She is the most touchy-feely person you will ever meet; ALWAYS wants to give everybody a hug! She is learning to read and write… I’m still upset they wouldn’t let her start Kindergarten but oh well… she will be so ahead by next year when she starts school. She turns 5 on December 21, which was way after the deadline to start this year, unfortunately…
- Barry (Tre): oh my goodness, what am I going to do with him? He has got to be the most active child on the face of the planet. Now, if only I could get him to channel that energy to CLEAN UP HIS ROOM!!! haha He’s in 1st grade now; just turned 6 on 9/26 and he’s doing well in school (when he’s not in trouble for his behavior!)
- Briyana: is too grown for her own good… but she is a big help though – she cleans up very well and she helps Tre with his homework and loves to teach Talia! She is the smartest little girl you will ever meet! She is very active also; they all are… I guess that’s what I get for having a house full of kids by a FOOTBALL PLAYER, huh? What in the world was I thinking?? haha Bri is in 2nd grade and of course making perfect grades on just about everything. Counting down until she turns 8 in February!!!
- Me: I am soooo busy lately. I have so much going on; I am actually trying to cut out some things, but it doesn’t seem to be happening LOL I am still in school, majoring in Biblical and Religious Studies… I just finished Apologetics and Pauline Literature and this session, I am taking Biblical Languages *I am actually learning Greek and Hebrew! Greek is SO much easier than Hebrew… haha* and I am taking Principles of Theology, which I am loving so far… I am still working doing accounting about 45-50 hours per week, as well as maintaining the StepInFaith Ministry with my wonderful director, Keeya McAlister! I have been updating the website trying to finish building the online Bible and upload the Bible studies we are doing in the fellowship group. For those who are local, I’m still teaching at the More Than Conquerors meetings twice per month; get with me for more information… I also am teaching the New Members classes at my church every Sunday afternoon now! I’m working on several writing projects; the one I am focused on the most right now is “Act Like a Christian” which is going to be great! I am also working on songs 3 and 4 for my album (1 and 2 are already uploaded to my MySpace Music page). I think that is pretty much it.
- Barry: we are soooooo enjoying having him home. I won’t put a whole lot of detail on his comings and goings because some people are extremely nosey… but he is doing great. He is working out every day (and looks wonderful if I do say so myself LOL!) He is working on starting a program similar to More Than Conquerors where he will be talking to and encouraging young men, teaching them how to be men based on Biblical principles… our pastor is excited about getting it started and they are working on getting participants as well as developing a program. God is showing him a LOT of things and challenging him to find his purpose while at the same preparing him for his purpose through these challenges – it’s so exciting and awesome to watch! haha
That’s it for now :)
