Here are a few pictures of all of us recently… and a little update…
I am doing great… I stopped working at the beginning of this month and the kids are at home with me. All except Briyana, who is in Kindergarten. It’s been nice to have a break. I’m just learning how to enjoy 2 toddlers and an infant while my house is being destroyed as I clean it up! LOL It’s been all right for the most part though. I can’t really complain- they are just kids.
Barry is training in Houston, so he’s back and forth to and from there. He’s been here all week (since the 17th) and when he gets back to Houston this week, me and the kids will be going out there to stay with him a few days. That will be fun- there is so much more to take them to do in Houston! I can’t wait until Pro Day- NO MORE TRAINING! So he will be home for good after that.
Briyana is doing great in school… has had all A’s and Satisfactory’s since she started last August. She’s one of the best in her class and her teacher believes she may need to be enrolled in gifted courses. (So do I!) She is such a wonderful big sister and she helps out with the baby SO much. She is in a stage where she doesn’t listen very well, but I’m working on that…Tre is getting to where he tests me a lot. He has been jumping on my furniture, running in the house, throwing his toys… typical boy stuff I suppose but it’s not acceptable in my house, so I am working on him as well. He’s the sweetest kid, but he just doesn’t understand that he can’t do some of the things he does. He’s got so much energy and half the time I just can’t keep up with him! That is stressful but that’s parenting, right?!
T’Aliyah has actually just entered her terrible two’s… over a year late, but she’s definitely there. She throws tantrums, kicks her legs around, throws herself on the floor, whines CONSTANTLY… whew, my patience isn’t all that great but I’m doing pretty good under the circumstances! LOL She’s still sweet as she can be, she just gets very frustrated easily…
Avalyn is just an angel baby… I can’t say anything about her bad LOL She sleeps all night and has since she was 2 months old. Barry told me the other day sometimes he forgets she’s even in the house cause she’s always so quiet! She is honestly the happiest baby I’ve ever seen. T’Aliyah was a very smiley and content baby when she was little also, but I think Avalyn tops the cake! lol
Kylan and Kaleb (Barry’s sons) are doing good as well. Kylan has great grades in school just like Briyana- they are both very smart. Kaleb and Tre are alike in that respect- they need a little extra work keeping them focused, but they are very smart too. Kylan had the flu a couple of weeks ago but he’s back to his regular activities now. Barry and I went in half with their mother on some new beds for them this past week… I hope they like them! We are going to try to get down to MS for a few days with the whole family when Barry gets back from Houston to take everyone out to Chuck E Cheese. It will be around their little brother’s 2nd birthday (the 18th) so we may just invite everyone and help celebrate that.
